“ Great for veganvegetarian eating out! Theres an entire page of vegan dishes on the menu and beef substitute is available in many other dishes as well. Ive been here twice, once for a private party and once on a date. Both times the food was excellent. Black bean and potato vegan tacos are really good if a little minimalist lemon flan is amazing my date had loaded nachos with impossible beef and said they were really good, not at all soggy like others hes had recently. On my most recent visit I ordered the zesty avocado fries and the impossible bacon burger. Full disclosure, Im vegetarian but not vegan, so I substituted real mayo on the burger and cilantro ranch for dipping sauce for the avocado fries. The avocado fries were interesting. Im not sure what I expected, but Ive never eaten anything like it. I dont know if Id order them again but they werent bad. Theyre served in a cone and our order came with only fourtheyre very thick cut. Outside is crunchy but inside is really soft not unpleasantly so, just an interesting contrast. I remembered to take a picture when there was only one left. The side salad that came with the burger was more substantial than I expected on a bed of mixed greens not iceberg lettuce! were sliced grape tomatoes, cheese, thinly sliced onions, and croutons. The burger itself was pretty hearty and was served with crisp lettuce and perfectly ripe sliced tomatoes on a nice Kaiser roll. It looked amazing and I was hungry enough that I forgot to take any pictures. Service was good and servers were attentive. I asked for room temperature water and actually got it that shouldnt be a big deal, but youd be amazed at how often I emphasize the room temperature part and the server brings me cold water that just has the ice removed. The whole dessert menu looks amazing and I plan to come back often enough that I can try one of everything. ”

“ We were a party of 5 when we visited for lunch yesterday and every single meal was fantastic. Their burgers are ground chuck and you can really taste the quality prep. The welldone arrived welldone and mine was medium just as I ordered. One friend ordered the mussels and another ordered the chicken dish. Our server Jonah was cordial and professional. “ Food was so delicious. Hubby and I went for anniversary lunch meal. I used to go to Seibels back in the day. This new Restaurant 198 is nothing like Seibels. The menu took me by surprise because of how unique the offerings are. We arrived around 215pm on a Saturday. We did ask for the lunchdinner menu because we were given the brunch menu. We wanted a delicious lunch. We ordered C C soup, side salad, steak peppers with whipped potatoes, and a cheesesteak with fries. The soup had lump crab meat and was so tasty. The cheesesteak was great and the skirt steak with peppers cone out sizzling on a hot plate. All the food was so delicious. We brought home leftovers. Water was tap water and not preferred for our taste. Our server, Rakel, was so great. She was positive, cheery and aimed to please. We were very full and happy. ”

The very polite and patient lady was great on all points. We both dined on the hot and spicy omelet, but, he had the special champagne tower thing while I optioned for the coffee and pancakes. “ Wonderful experience, an unexpected find in Silver SpriNg Md close to Spencerville. Went to SS for a flower mart it was overly crowded, we found to other nurseries that were awesome and then stoped at 198. The atmosphere was nice and the service was excellent. My Moco salad was so fresh and flavorful I almost forgot to add the dressing. My daughter had bacon cheese burger. My sister ordered the impossible burger. I watched them do a little dance as they bit into the crunchy pickle. Ample parking HC parking. Inside has one step down to get to the back of the restaurant. The front section is open with no step. Great time spent with family, a wonderful meal and watched the little birdies play in the water fountain outside. It was a beautiful day!! ”
